Announcing PUZZLES – Child Care to Fit Your Family

In 2017 The Day Care Society of Banff was chosen as a recipient of the Alberta Early Learning and Child Care grants for innovation in designing solutions for unmet child care needs in our communities. Alberta Premier Rachel Notley announced on April 2017, that 22 programs throughout Alberta were selected to be part of this pilot project, and Puzzles was one of them. The Day Care Society of Banff launched a new second location focused on families who work non-traditional schedules, or work or attend school part time. Puzzles accommodates earlier morning, later evening hours and weekend care. It serves children 1-5 years, with care for children up to age 8 on weekends.

A partnership with Banff YWCA has enabled this innovation to take effect within the Bow Valley.
