Announcing PUZZLES – Child Care to Fit Your Family
We are excited to announce that The Day Care Society of Banff is a recipient of the Alberta Early Learning and Child Care grants for innovation in designing solutions for unmet child care needs in our communities. Alberta Premier Rachel Notley announced today the 22 programs throughout Alberta that will be part of this pilot project. The Day Care Society of Banff will launch a new second location focused on families who work non-traditional schedules or work or attend school part time. We anticipate earlier morning, later evening hours and weekend care. We will serve children 1-5 years, with care for children up to age 8 anticipated on weekends. We hope to also have space for occasional care by reservation.

We are partnering with the Banff YWCA to bring this innovation to the Bow Valley. The YWCA’s brick Training Centre building, overlooking the river and pedestrian bridge, will be the new home of Puzzles. We are working fast on the program details and will announce more excitement soon. We are accepting Pre-Enrollment Interest Forms now so email us at banffchildcare@telus.net or call 403-762-3339 to have a form emailed to you. Families needing non-traditional schedules who submit interest forms will receive priority at the start of the enrollment period later in April. We hope to have Puzzles open for fun and learning by the first day of summer!!.
